Quest Requirements:
30 Mining
25 Herblore
Must be able to defeat a level 118 Ice Queen.
To start this quest, you will need to go to the Heroes guild. It is one of the teleports available to you through the Edgeville portal. You must talk to Achiettes who is standing outside the door. 
Achiettes will ask you to retrieve the Ice gloves from the Ice Queen. The picture below will illustrate your path from the Heroes Guild to the area of the Ice Queen.  The "X" marks a Rock Slide that you will need an to have equiped a pickaxe and a required level of 30 Mining to mine through the Rock Slide. Once you have mined through the rocks go down the ladder shown in the picture below:  Below, is a map of the cavern leading to the Ice Queen. The ladders are marked with an "X,X,X" and lead you to another part of the mountain's surface where you will be faced with another choice of ladders. Eat
These will not be posting pictures of which ladders to take on the
surface! So make sure that the ladder you choose, takes you to the
ladder marked with a square of a different colours: 
The Ice Queen
Is not a terribly difficult monster, but she does have a solid hit rate
of 5-11 damage. Food and prayer are recommended. After she is dead, she
will drop ice gloves. Return them to Achiettes. Upon doing that she will ask you to retrieve the 2nd item which is a Fire feather from the Extreme Firebird (level 2) in Entrana. In-order travel to Entrana, you will need to Teleport to Falador from the normal spellbook. Then head towards the White Knight's castle. There you should speak to the Squire who will ask you if you would like to go to Entrana. Choose the option, yes and you will be teleported to Entrana.
After you get to Entrana, just head north and you can't miss the Firebirds, (Eat These won't be posting a picture as they're easy to find). Upon killing a firebird you will get a Fire Feather. Pick it up and return to Achiettes.
The final part of this quest is the easiest, if you have achieved your 25 herblore.

What you have do you need to make a Compost Potion; Trade with the Shop Keeper in Edgeville:
Buy a Vial of Water and a Slimy Eel from the Shop keeper, you will then combine the two to make a compost potion:
Return this to Achiettes and you have completed the Heroes Quest. Welldone!
